We analyzed those rankings based on five main factors: 1) Overall desirability of the country, 2) opportunities (number of open tech jobs), 3) local talent pool (number of developers per capita), 4) cost of living, and 5) average software engineer salary.

*Canada: Canada has been ranked as one of the top ten countries for gender equality by the World Economic Forum. Women make up 46% of Canada's workforce, and 56% percent of Canadian households have a female head-of-household.
